I know that it’s been, like, a million years since I’ve made a post. My last year of University could not have been more hectic, and I’ve recently moved back home in order to save money and pay off my very large school debt. WITH THAT BEING SAID>>>
I’m switching my blogging/ art sharing site to Tumblr. If I could give you a dollar for how many times WordPress has given me a headache from frustration of not having it look the way I like, I would have enough money to afford a full set of prismacolor markers (i.e. a lot). For somebody who is not the most familiar with creating websites and blogs, Tumblr is much more user-friendly for me. In summary, WordPress is great and I take the blame for not being proficient enough when it comes to how it works.

You can look at it closely and from far away. You can let the piece simmer in your brain for days, weeks or months. You don’t feel like the art you created is finished, but you also don’t know what you could add or take away to possibly complete it.
It’s that itch you can’t scratch.
Because I’m still on vacation until Friday, I’ve decided to post a piece that I created a couple weeks before I left on my two week trip. I have two upcoming posts delving further into my travels to the west of Canada on the way!
The Police are my favorite band. At least half of my inspiration to make art comes from listening to their albums, so I came up with the idea to take each of my favorite songs and make a digital piece representing how I feel about the song/how the song makes me feel and what I envision as I listen to it.
I am currently writing this post at 35469 feet in the air, at 497 miles per hour. Outside my window is the beautiful Lake Superior.
Lately, the only accounts that I’ve been following on Instagram are ones of cute animals. This is bunny mama’s sweet Olive 😀
A couple nights ago, Erik took me out to our local art gallery for an art exhibition opening. I live in a pretty big city, so the gallery has the privilege of often showcasing work from world renowned artists. With my university student card, I also get free admission. What more could I ask for?!
I was wondering if I should even mention that my grandfather just passed away on my online art domain. Art for me is so personal, though, that I figured I should explain my probable upcoming shift in creativity.
This summer I’m taking a first year Peace Studies course. I enjoy taking summer classes because I live in the same town as my University during the summer and don’t have any big plans, so I figure I might as well take a class twice a week for six weeks and lower my course load for the normal school year in September!
I was raised vegetarian since birth. My mom grew up eating meat and while she was pregnant with me (her first child), she read a book about the meat and dairy industry that had a large enough impact on her life to completely change the way she ate and viewed food and nutrition.
